Satire — The NBA Players have decided that rather than do nothing this off-season it’s better to get out into the public and have some fun playing the game they love. NBA All-Stars including Lebron James, Kevin Durant and Chris Paul all competed in a local game in Baltimore. The game was packed to the rafters. Lebron, after the game said that, “You know we do this for the fans,” and the sentiment was felt throughout the arena.
The NBA Owners, seeing that this could become a touchy PR issue have decided to announce their own series of exhibition games, meeting and conferences for fans this coming September.
“We’d hope that this will bring fan interaction between the fans and their owners to all new levels, we really feel for these guys,” said Dallas Mavericks owner Marc Cuban. “You know as a fan yourself that lock out suck, so that’s why we knew we had to do something to give people some excitement.”
The Owners who will split into their respective Eastern and Western conferences will play an All-Star game as well as hosting meetings where fans get to decide Owner policy heading into further negotiations. One lucky fan described the opportunity.
“I’m so excited, I love Bobcats basketball,” said 14 year old Natalie Henderson, “I can’t wait to get around the water cooler and form the owners proposal for a new CBA.” Other’s included 49 year old Jerry Olson a native of Toronto. “You know one of the best things about this is going to be watching Jerry Buss go one on one with New Orleans Hornets owner David Stern, we all know how close those two are, what with all the championships given.”
Asked about the CBA Olson was really excited, “Oh I love the Canadian League I really think the NBA should think about merging.”
Further events will include:
- Read the Owners Financials
- Shred Owners Financials
- Hard-Cap Bottle-Cap Game
The Owners have proven that two can play at this game with tickets selling fast.
The week will be held in Los Angeles for the Owners convenience at the famed and much worshipped Staples center and conference rooms. Contact your ticket representative for details.
