Season Finale: Hornets(21-44) At Rockets(33-32)

Tonight will be the Hornets final game of the season. Even though it has been a relatively quick and shortened season, this season could not end any sooner for the Hornets. Just a season ago they almost beat the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the playoffs. Now, the Hornets are looking for one more win just so they can share last place in the Western Conference with the Kings.

The Hornets have defeated the Rockets 8 times out of their last 10 meetings, the most recent victory came last Thursday. The Hornets pulled out an 105-99 overtime victory against the Rockets. Eric Gordon scored 27 points in that game for the Hornets, he will not see the court tonight.

Four of the last five meetings between these two teams have been decided by 6 or fewer points, three have gone into overtime.

The Rockets will be without Kevin Martin and Kyle Lowry who have missed a combined 45 games this season. A win tonight for the Rockets will allow them to finish with a winning record. A few weeks ago the Rockets were in contention of making the playoffs, but a 1-7 skid ended all hopes of that.

A loss tonight for the Hornets will increase their chances of landing the #1 pick in the this years draft come lottery time.
