Hornets forward Carl Landry has expressed his interest in returning to New Orleans next season. Though he feels as if the feeling may not be mutual.
The Hornets have 2 lottery picks and are expected to use one of those pick on a big man such as UCONN center Andre Drummond. If the Hornets do re-sign Landry and keep Chris Kamn, Emeka Okafor, Jason Smith, Al-Farouq Aminu, and Gustavo Ayon there will be a major minutes jam at the forward/center position. With all these guys under contract I do not see the Hornets offering Landry a very lucrative contract.
This past season Landry averaged 12.5 points per game and 5.2 rebounds per game.
“You just never know,’’ said Landry. “You hear one thing one day, and something (else) the next. You’ve just got to play every game like it’s your last. That’s all you can do, especially in a contract situation like myself. You can’t worry about if you are going to be here tomorrow.’’
