NBA Draft Rumors From Around The League Pt. 2

SInce NBA Draft Rumors From Around The League part 1, there have been a lot of new rumors floating around. Many involve teams reportedly trying to trade into or out of the lottery.

Once again I heard another report that the Cleveland Cavaliers and Portland Trail Blazers are discussing swapping first round pick. The Cavaliers currently have the #4 and #24 picks and would swap both for the Blazers #6 and #11 picks. That would be a steal for the Cavaliers as they really want Harrison Barnes who will most likely still be on the board at 6.

Now there have been numerous reports that the Charlotte Bobcats are actively shopping the #2 overall pick for a star player like Rudy Gay or Andre Iguodala. Thomas Robinson told reporters at the NBA Draft Combine that the Bobcats have not contacted him at all. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is scheduled to workout for the them sometime this week though.

The Memphis Grizzlies have been all over the place with trade rumors involving their star small forward Rudy Gay. One day Rudy Gay is not on the trading block, the next he is. Currently the latest reports have him on the trading block and the Grizzlies are looking to acquire a very high first round pick for him. Teams that have been said to be interested in Rudy Gay are the Warriors, Raptors, Magic, Nets, and Bobcats.

Gaurds Dion Waiters and Austin Rivers both reportedly received draft promises from teams picking at the end of the lottery. Both have most likely been said to be from the Raptors or Suns. There is a chance the Hornets were a team to promise Rivers they will pick him as he would be a nice addition to help Eric Gordon with the scoring load.

Forward Royce White is a Minnesota native and reportedly told David Kahn that he would love to play to the Minnesota Timberwolves. I seriously doubt that happens as the T-wolves have a log jam at the Forward Position. #2 pick from last season Derrick Williams barely got to see the floor this year.

There have been rumors that the Los Angeles Lakers are interested in a Sign-and-Trade deal with Timberwolves centering around MIchael Beasley.

The Sacramento Kings like the idea of Demarcus Cousins playing alongside Andre Drummond. The Kings have the 5th pick in the draft and may very well use it on Drummond. Cousins and Drummond are very similar players.

Check back later for more rumors and updates.
