Is There A Possibility Of Chris Paul Playing In A Hornets Unifrom Again?

Jimmy Smith at the Time-Picayune came up with a great question for Hornets fans. “As a New Orleans Hornets fan, would you embrace Chris Paul if he returned as a free agent?”

Chris Paul is entering his last contract year with the Clippers and there have not been any talks of him re-singing yet. The Clipper general manger Neil Olshey recently just left LA to be apart of the Portland Trail Blazers front office. This may cause some turmoil within the Clippers organization if they do not continue to move in the right direction. This had opened up the possibility of Chris Paul becoming an unrestricted free agent next summer and returning to New Orleans to play with Anthony Davis.

As of right now this could be very possible, the contracts of Emeka Okafor and Trevor Ariza will expire after next season, giving the Hornets an extra $20+ million in cap space. Anthony Davis would still be in his rookie contract, and we’re not sure of Eric Gordon yet.  If Chris Paul were to become a free agent the Hornets would be very capable of matching any offer he receives.

I think any team should go after Chris Paul if they have the opportunity to, including the New Orleans Hornets.
