After Being Released By Hornets, Rashard Lewis Signs With Miami Heat

3-point shooting forward Rashard Lewis has officially agreed to sign with the Miami Heat.  Lewis and the Heat agreed to a 1 year deal paying Lewis the veterans minimum of about $1.3 million. That is a huge pay cut for Lewis who was almost getting $1 million every two weeks with his $21 million salary. He won’t notice it too much though, as the Hornets still owe him $13 million this season for buying out his contract.

Lewis probably could have gotten more money elsewhere but the main goal is to win a championship right. After signing Ray Allen & Rashard Lewis the Heat have to be the forerunners for the 2012-2013 season.
