Hornets rookies Anthony Davis and Darius Miller will play on the University of Kentucky’s Alumni game today. The full rosters for this event have not been released but these two former Kentucky Wildcats will play. They will also be joined by former teammates Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Terrance Jones, Brandon Knight, and Doron Lamb. There is currently 23 former Kentucky Wildcats in the NBA right now and most of them should be in attendance. Star players such as Rajon Rondo, John Wall, Demarcus Cousins and Tayshaun Prince are expected to play.
Also the rapper Aubrey “Drake” Graham, will be coaching one of the teams in the alumni game. I’m not sure if Drake knows anything about coaching basketball but I’m sure he will help ticket sales for the event.
Coach Calipari said he also will bring back the 1996 championship team as a part of the alumni games. That team was lead by Antoine Walker, Tony Delk, and Walter McCarty. That group went 34-2 on their way to a championship.
