According to John Reid and the Times Picayune, the New Orleans Hornets have already surpassed last seasons tickets-sold-per-game-average of 10,000.
“The New Orleans Hornets announced Monday they have surpassed an average of 12,000 tickets sold per game this upcoming season, which includes partial and full-season season ticket packages, group sales and suites sold at the New Orleans Arena, according to team spokesman Harold Kaufman.”
– John Reid
This is the largest number of tickets the Hornets have sold pre-season since moving from Charlotte.
New owner Tom Benson and he Hornets front office have gotten fans excited to see the Hornets play with the additions of Anthony Davis, Austin Rivers and Ryan Anderson.
I expect ticket sales to continue to rise as the season gets closer. Individual game tickets are not available for purchase until thursday. This should be a record breaking year attendance wise for the New Orleans Hornets.
