After missing a potential game winning 3 pointer against the Spurs in the season opener, Grevis Vasquez came up big against the Jazz. The game was tied in the final seconds until Vasquez drove in and finished the game winning layup, leaving 1.3 seconds on the clock. Giving the Hornets their first victory of a long season.

Vasquez finished with 13 points, 10 assist, and 4 rebounds. Giving him his 2nd game in a row with double-digit assist.

Anthony Davis was forced to leave the game early after being hit in the head by Austin Rivers on a defensive play. Davis went into the locker room at halftime and did not return. He was showing concussion like symptoms and will continue to undergo test.

Austin Rivers continued to struggle as he was 0-4 from the field and finished with just 2 points after playing 29 minutes. If it was not for a uncontested layup on a fast break in game 1 Austin Rivers would still be without a field goal after two games.

Ryan Anderson and Robin Lopez led the Hornets to victory on Friday. Anderson and Lopez both finished with 19 points with 6 rebounds for Anderson, 7 for Lopez. It seemed like the Jazz forgot that Ryan Anderson can stroke it from 3 as he was continually left open on his way to draining 5 out of 9 three-pointers.

Al-Farouq Aminu continued his solid play and scored 15 points on 7-10 shooting. Aminu also added 8 rebounds, 2 assist, and 2 steals.

The Jazz were led by Randy Foye, who scored 20 points off the bench. Mo Willams added 16 points and 4 assist in the effort.
