Expect rookie Anthony Davis to miss his fourth straight game due to a stress reaction in his left ankle. Davis was still in a walking boot Friday and has not been able to practice all week. Davis last game was last Saturday against the Milwaukee Bucks when he scored a career high 28 points.

According to nola.com, Head Coach Monty Williams was asked about Davis’ injury and if he would miss more game, and Williams replied,
“I would say so. Unfortunately, I think it’s one of those situations we’ve dealt with here before. You have two of your top two players out you’ve got to find a way to rally and win games. Yet there’s a dynamic there you didn’t count on.”
In the place of Davis Ryan Anderson has been inserted into the starting lineup and he has not disappointed. Anderson is currenty the teams leading scorer with 17.9 ppg.
The Hornets may also be without backup forward Jason Smith. Smith is currently listed as questionable after being hit in the eye in the previous game with the Phoenix Suns. Without Davis and Smith the Hornets front court will be very thin and heavily relied on by Ryan Anderson and Robin Lopez.

I'm a avid basketball fan from Seattle, Washington. I have found my passion in basketball and probably spend to much time following the NBA. The Hornets have became my team shortly after I started blogging on Swarm and Sting. And yes, I was upset to see the Sonics move to Oklahoma but glad they're doing well. Im positive the NBA will return to the 206 one day. Email me at: [email protected] Follow me on twitter: @Blanks_C
