According to nola.com, Head Coach Monty Williams was asked about Davis’ injury and if he would miss more game, and Williams replied,
“I would say so. Unfortunately, I think it’s one of those situations we’ve dealt with here before. You have two of your top two players out you’ve got to find a way to rally and win games. Yet there’s a dynamic there you didn’t count on.”
In the place of Davis Ryan Anderson has been inserted into the starting lineup and he has not disappointed. Anderson is currenty the teams leading scorer with 17.9 ppg.
The Hornets may also be without backup forward Jason Smith. Smith is currently listed as questionable after being hit in the eye in the previous game with the Phoenix Suns
. Without Davis and Smith the Hornets front court will be very thin and heavily relied on by Ryan Anderson and Robin Lopez.
