New Orleans Hornets Lose Another, Get Blown Out By Denver Nuggets 84-102

And the New Orleans Hornets go down again. The Denver Nuggets blew past the Hornets to give them their 7th straight loss.

This had to be a frustrating game for the Hornets offensively. The Hornets were 33-85 from the field, thats a 38% shooting percentage. While the Denver Nuggets took 10 less shots but made 7 more, 40-75 giving them a 53% shooting percentage. The Hornets were only out-rebounded by 1 and the Nuggets turned the ball over just as many times as the Hornets did, 14. The only explanation for the Hornets loss in this one was their shooting. The Hornets offense has not been clicking since the pre-season so this comes as no surprise. The absence of Anthony Davis and especially Eric Gordon is really making a difference.

Brian Roberts led the Hornets in scoring with 17 points off the bench. Ryan Anderson had a good first half then was held without a died goal the rest of game. Anderson finished with 16 points. Rookie Darius Miller recorded career highs in points and rebounds with 7 points and 8 rebounds.

Kenneth Faried recorded his 8th double-double of the season against the Hornets, 14 points, and 12 rebounds. Andre Iguodala led the Nuggets in scoring with 23 points

The Hornets are now 3-9 and are in last place in the Southwest division, 6.5 games behind division leaders Memphis Grizzlies.

The sledding does not get any easier for the Hornets, next up are the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday, November 26th.
