The Hornets will take on the Washington Wizards Tuesday night in a game that can also be known as the battle of the worst. The Hornets and Wizards currently sit at the bottom of both of their respective conferences.
The Wizards have a NBA worst 2-15 record and will come into New Orleans looking for their first road victory of the season. The Wizards might be the only team in the NBA that has been hit with injuries harder than the Hornets. The Wizards have been without star player John Wall and his timetable for return is still up in the air. Wizards starting forward Trevor Ariza will also be out with a strained left calf. And to top it off, John Walls replacement, Aj Price fractured his hand and will miss 4-6 weeks.
Jordan Crawford will the Wizards key player, Crawford is leading the team in scoring with 14 points per game. Crawford is coming off of arguably his best game of the season, 22 points, 8 assist, and 8 rebounds.
The Hornets are 5-14 and have lost the last 12 of 14. The Hornets will be looking for the return of Anthony Davis to bolster their offense and defense. In the 6 games Davis has played in he has averaged 16 points and 8.3 rebounds. Davis will come off the bench in Tuesdays game and will be eased back into action. Ryan Anderson will continue to start at power forward for the Hornets. Anderson is currently the Hornets leading scoring option and rebounder with 18 points and 7 rebounds per game.
