Trade Dealine Rumors: Will Eric Gordon Be Dealt?

Apparently there are more than a few rumors going around that the Hornets are shopping Eric Gordon. Many speculate that this is mainly due to the fact that Gordon signed an offer sheet with the Phoenix Suns this past summer and tried to discourage the Hornets from matching the offer. Gordon has oft been injured and has missed all but 18 games so far this season. Maybe the Hornets are thinking lets deal him before he suffers another major injury. I wouldn’t think that Gordon’s trade value is very high right now due to his injury woes, because of that I would suggest the Hornets keep him. Gordon is currently averaging 16 points per game and has yet to get in rhythm as he is still missing games every now and then.

There have not been any teams linked to be interested in Gordon at this time, it still isn’t even clear if the Hornets have made him “available”. I would say this is all speculation for now but according to sources, the Hornets are expected to test Gordon’s trade value in the off-season.

I would not suggest that the Hornets trade Gordon, I do not see them getting his true value back in any potential trade. Giving Gordon more time to get to full strength would be the best idea.
