Hornets Pick Up Louis Amundson For Remainder Of Season

Louis Amundson just finished a 10-day contract with the Chicago Bulls and will not be returning to Chicago. The Hornets have signed him for the rest of the season. Amundson started off this season as a member of the Minessota Timberwolves until waived on Feburary 8th. Amundson is averagin 1.5 points per game and 2.2 rebounds per game this season. Receiveing playing time has been sort of a srruggle for Amundson so far this year. He may get his best opportunity to play with the Hornets. The Hornets have been searching for a more viable backup after losing Jason Smith to surgery.

This could be a great pick-up for the Hornets. Lance Thomas has been given extended minutes and they even signed Henry Sims. Amundson is a proven hard worker proving qualtity minutes off the becnh when needed. His defense and rebounding should help the Hornets a lot.
