According to a HoopsHype report, free agent forward Josh Childress will work out for the New Orleans Pelicans this week. Childress, a former 6th overall pick, has struggled to make an impact in the NBA. After two unproductive seasons in Phoenix, Childress was relegated to a minimum bench role in Brooklyn last season, averaging a mere 7 minutes per game.
Though not entirely inefficient, Childress’s poor three point shooting and inability to create makes him a burden offensively. If signed, expect him to be an end-of-bench wing, as he has been for recent seasons.
