Pelicans Open New Facility

Following Labor Day weekend, the New Orleans Pelicans moved into a new training facility in Metairie.  The Pelicans will share space with the New Orleans Saints, further integrating the two teams owned by Tom Benson.  Starting this week, voluntary team workouts will occupy the Alario Center as the Saints prepare for the opening week of the NBA season.

Anthony Davis, present at the voluntary workouts, addressed the media, saying, “We’re all just excited,” Davis said. “We’ve probably got 10 or 11 guys here who are doing conditioning in the morning, lifting weights, then playing pickup. Guys are dedicated. You can’t ask for anything more.”
