Davis Led Pelicans Beat Lakers

The New Orleans Pelicans hosted the Los Angeles Lakers Friday night and won their third game of the year, 96-85. Anthony Davis continues to dominate on the offensive and defensive ends of the court. Davis poured in a career-high 32 points while adding 12 rebounds and 6 blocks. Jrue Holiday finally found his game again adding 13 points, 13 assists, and 4 steals. The Pelicans defense held the Lakers to 85 points on the night by holding them to 38% shooting from the field while causing 14 turnovers. Chris Kaman lead the way for the Lakers adding 16 points and 2 blocks, while Pau Gasol has continued to struggle scoring 9 points on 3-12 shooting with 11 rebounds. The Pelicans have been improving every game on the defensive end and are starting to find places within their offensive rotation. The Pelicans improve to 3-3 on the year and visit the Phoenix Suns for their second matchup of the year Sunday night at 8:00 p.m.
