When I took over Pelican Debrief on April 17th I sent out a call for help. Recently a few people have answered that call so I figured it was time to introduce you readers to the new staff here at Pelican Debrief.
Matt Cianfrone graduated in May of 2012 from the University of Georgia with a degree in journalism with a specialty in newspapers. For the past two years he has covered some high school field hockey and softball back home in New Jersey while blogging about the NBA at Hickory High and Roundball Mining Company. When the paper didn’t need his services in the winter he coached high school basketball back at my old high school. You can find me on Twitter tweeting almost always about the NBA or UGA sports at @Matt_Cianfrone.
Andrew Montanye is a Broadcast Journalism major at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln who loves basketball. In addition to his work here at Pelican Debrief he also Co-Hosts a student radio show called the Give and Go Show which is dedicated to NBA basketball. If there’s basketball on, he is watching it, if there isn’t any on, he is trying to play learn it. You can find him on Twitter at @iDREWiT_uP.
Chris Barnewall is a student at University of Central Florida studying Journalism. He lives in Florida where he has spent his life watching shuttle launches and going to the beach. If he isn’t talking about basketball then he is playing or talking about video games. He can be found on Twitter at @ChrisBarnewall.
Rick Stone is originally from small town upstate NY, and now residing in Las Vegas. He is an avid Pelicans fan and is usually either watching basketball, talking about basketball or drinking smoothies. He tweets a ton about the New Orleans Pelicans, along with adorable lion pictures and Monty Williams GIFs. He is currently the leader in angry rants about Austin Rivers. All hail the Unibrow. He can be found on Twitter at @RickStoneNBA.
