Russ Smith entered the NBA with a very interesting reputation. Smith was known as defensive menace and an offensive player that had a tendency to take some silly “Russdiculous” shots while still possessing the ability to efficiently lead an offense as a primary scorer. In his first action as a member of the New Orleans Pelicans last night in the Samsung Las Vegas Summer League Smith showed another part of his game though–some very good passing ability. For this post I took a look at six passes that Smith made in the game against the D-League Select squad to show the encouraging decision-making and vision that Smith showed in his first professional appearance.
