With the NBA trade deadline approaching this afternoon Twitter is abuzz with rumors and speculation about who could end up where.

More from Pelicans News

While most of the big deals are already done a flurry of small moves at the deadline always seems to happen.

If the New Orleans Pelicans are going to make a trade at the deadline it seems like they will fit into that small move category as well. With Jrue Holiday out for another three months the Pelicans are reportedly trying to land themselves a backup point guard for the rest of the season which would seem like the small move to make.

There has also been some speculation about grabbing up a cheap small forward upgrade, though with Quincy Pondexter and Dante Cunningham there doesn’t seem as big of a need as the past for that spot. If the Pelicans somehow could improve the position without trading one of their core players it would probably happen, but a deal that involves a starting caliber small forward would probably involve one of the Pelicans few untouchable players.

So what types of moves could be made? Here are three trade machine creations that could theoretically make sense for the Pelicans.

Note: None of these trades are rumored. They are all just creations from my mind.
