Yet thanks to a 25 point effort from
Quincy Pondexterand a 15 point 11 assist game from
Tyreke Evansthe Pelicans won their second straight game by defeating the Nets 102-96 in New Orleans.
Other observations:
- When the three injured Pelicans get back this team will have a nice ten man rotation. Babbitt won’t be a part of things at that point but watching the Pelicans lately they have 10 quality players to fill out a rotation without any super weak links.
- This game got ugly at points but that plays into a banged up teams hands. New Orleans did just enough to build and hold their lead and pick up the nice win.
- Norris Cole’s passing has become infectious as the second unit is whipping the ball around to open men in a fashion they haven’t all year. We even got an Alexis Ajinca wrap around pass tonight.
- The Pels play again on Friday on ESPN. That should be fun, even without Anthony Davis.
