The New Orleans Pelicans entered the second night of a double road back-to-back without four and a half of the best six players on the roster. Their opponents were the best team in basketball. For a while the Warriors played nice as
Stephen Currystarted 1-13 from the floor. Then they exploded into a dominant 30-10 run across the third and fourth quarters to bury and hopes the Pelicans had of another miracle this year and coasted to a 112-96 win.
Other observations:
- There isn’t much to say about this one. The Warriors are buzz saws and the Pelicans were beat up. They had no real chance to win
- I wasn’t thrilled with Tyreke Evans playing at all but good job by Monty to just sit him after 15 completely ineffective minutes.
- Sunday is a massive game. Hopefully the Pelicans get Asik, Davis and the real Evans back for it.
Tweet of the night:
Hard to win anything that way.
