Anthony Davis, Quincy Pondexter lead New Orleans Pelicans to thrilling win
Sometimes to make the NBA playoffs you need a bit of luck. Tonight the New Orleans Pelicans got just that. Stephen Curry had two shots go halfway down and out on the Warriors final two possessions, Andre Iguodala made an uncharacteristic defensive mistake and the Pelicans took advantage on their way to a 103-100 win.

Anthony Davis and Quincy Pondexter were huge for the Pelicans, especially in the second half when Davis went 8-11 from the field and Pondexter hit some big shots and made life on Curry difficult to allow the Pelicans to get the win they so desperately needed.
Other observations:
- Win or lose this was going to be the first point. That game was a blast. It was two quality teams taking each other’s best shot and responding with another punch. It was a playoff game two weeks before the playoffs start. It was wonderful.
- Seriously this team got Quincy Pondexter for Austin Rivers. That is amazing.
- Omer Asik getting Andrew Bogut into foul trouble with some drives to the rim was a moment that completely changed the game. Bogut dominated inside throughout the night and getting him away from the rim opened everything up for the rest of the night.
- The Thunder also lost tonight which is a big deal. This was supposed to be a loss for the Pelicans against the best team in the NBA. Turning that into a win gives them a bit of breathing room as they end the season. Steal one of the Memphis or Houston games and the playoffs seem likely.
Tweet of the night:
Yes, I already said this. Yes, I am dropping my own tweet in here. Quincy Pondexter deserves it.
