This weekend marked the end of the New Orleans Pelicans 2014-2015 season after the team was swept in the first round of the NBA playoffs by the NBA’s best team, the Golden State Warriors. It was a season of great highs and terrible lows for the Pelicans who battled injuries, a changing roster and just general struggles while watching Anthony Davis blossom into one of the three best players in basketball and the Smoothie King Center become an incredible home court advantage.
All-in-all the Pelicans left us with a ton to discuss about both this season and the future by the time the season ended on Saturday night. Should Omer Asik be brought back next season? Does Tyreke Evans really fit with this core? Is the Pelicans new bench that includes Dante Cunningham and Norris Cole good enough for a team that wants to do more than compete for the eighth seed? We will touch on that in the coming weeks but as the start to the season wrap up pieces that will be appearing the PD staff got together for a roundtable discussion that touches on a multitude of things from the season.
