2014-2015 New Orleans Pelicans Season Review: Jrue Holiday and Another Lost Season

Now that the New Orleans Pelicans 2014-2015 season is over it is time to look back at each member of the roster and see how their season went. To do so we will be taking a look at both ends of the floor and assigning a grade before coming together for an overall grade that takes into account the entirety of the season. Today we reflect on another injury plagued season from Jrue Holiday 

B+. Jrue Holiday was on his way to one of if not the most efficient offensive season he has ever had. The per game numbers are pretty on par with his career averages but if you look at the advanced numbers Holiday was on pace to post the best assist to turnover ratio in his career and on pace to have career highs in offensive rating, offensive win share and the lowest turnover percentage of his career. This shows maturation and growth in Holiday’s skills as a floor general. Early in his career he was a bit turnover prone, but this year Jrue hardly forced anything and played with great patience. Overall what Jrue showed on offense was really encouraging and he showed he is a core piece as long he is healthy.. . Offense. JRUE HOLIDAY

That reputation has been rightfully earned and there were games when Holiday shut down some of the very best guards this game has to offer.
