As I do most days when I get home from work, Thursday afternoon I found myself perusing Twitter when an interesting Tweet popped into my timeline courtesy of the great Matt Moore. Those tweets are below but Moore asked some lineup related questions, which got me of course thinking about New Orleans Pelicans lineups, which in turn helped me realize how many different lineups the Pelicans can actually produce this season that would be fun for one reason or another.

Before we go any further it seems like the best time to show Matt’s tweets is now:

And the follow-up:

I won’t answer either question right now though, as both lineups are going to make an appearance on the list but it both are good questions and in regards to the Pelicans are a nice reminder of how far the roster has come in a year.

At this time last year the answer to both questions would have been fairly similar no matter which Pelicans fan was answering. For the good it would be undoubtedly Jrue Holiday, Eric Gordon, Tyreke Evans, Anthony Davis and either Omer Asik or Ryan Anderson.

The bad is even easier with a roster that included Jimmer Fredette, John Salmons, Darius Miller, Jeff Withey and for a bit Patric Young. Just a year later, none of those players are left on the roster and trying to find a truly awful lineup is a harder task, though a few pieces look to obviously be a part of things.

So without further ado, here are five lineups that the Pelicans can use this season that for one reason or another are interesting or intriguing.
