The New Orleans Pelicans roared back from an early deficit to crush the Timberwolves in the second half to secure the win.

The New Orleans Pelicans changed the narrative against the Timberwolves. Instead of rolling over after such a poor first half, the Pelicans came out of the locker room  swinging. Going on a tear in the third quarter, the Pelicans outscored the Wolves by 16 to erase the lead of Minnesota. The Pelicans did not let up in the fourth, and they outscored the Wolves by eight in the final frame.

Unfortunately, Eric Gordon left the game with pain in his finger, and Alvin Gentry confirmed after the game that Gordon had fractured his ring finger. The coach could provide no timeline at the time, but it will be an interesting situation to monitor going forward. The Pelicans will likely utilize Toney Douglas more to fill some of those minutes.

It was not a great first game back for <a href=. PG. New Orleans Pelicans. TYREKE EVANS. C-

ERIC GORDON. C. Eric Gordon was not great against Minnesota, but he certainly wasn’t bad either. By shooting three of seven from deep, the Wolves were forced to respect him behind the line, and he made them pay when they didn’t. Unfortunately, he provided little besides that. Obviously, the worst part of the game for Gordon was the injury.. SG. New Orleans Pelicans

A. Holiday was not great to start the game. He made some uncharacteristically poor decisions, but that changed in the second half. Down the stretch, Holiday was the engine that powered the offense, and he finished with 19 points and nine assists. When you factor in his scrappy play on the defensive end, Holiday had an excellent game.. PG. New Orleans Pelicans. JRUE HOLIDAY
