5 NBA Draft targets for Pelicans if high pick comes via Anthony Davis trade

We all know Zion Williamson will go #1 overall to the New Orleans Pelicans in the NBA Draft. But if Anthony Davis fetches an additional pick for the team, what then?

The situation with Anthony Davis hasn’t defused for the New Orleans Pelicans, and most knew it wouldn’t happen. But it never hurts to hold out hope. At this point, we need to look towards the future via the NBA Draft and move on from Anthony Davis. He’s made it clear there isn’t anything the Pelicans can do to keep him in the city, so it’s trade time in the Big Easy.

What makes this situation so intriguing is the fact that the Pelicans have all the leverage against the teams who want Davis’ services, and the team can make almost any demand they want. Winning the lottery has really pushed the team into new territory holding all of the power, and a lot of the other teams are picking in the lottery who will likely enter their names in the AD Sweepstakes.

So, if any other lottery teams want Davis, they will definitely have to include their first rounders in order to secure the transaction. With that said, it makes sense to look at some other lottery-projected players besides Zion just in case New Orleans ends up with another high draft selection.
