New Orleans Pelicans Lose to Clippers 100-120

It started off hard to watch for the New Orleans Pelicans, then the second quarter happened. Then, it was hard to watch the rest of the way. That is a short, sweet, and healthy recap, but here’s a little more. Up until early in the fourth quarter, both teams were somehow shooting above 50 percent from the floor. Prior to this, in the first half, the Clippers started the game on a 34-18 run, the Pelicans then responded with a 34-18 run of their own, with both teams going into halftime tied at 54. Oh yeah, and this happened tonight:

Other Observations:

  • Monty Williams gets an F. His rotations are horrible, and if the team keeps losing, he probably wont have a job past January.
  • Luke Babbitt was playing well until Monty Williams decided to sit him for quite some time. While I’d say he was going to gain some confidence from tonight, Monty’s rotations may have eliminated that hope with his rotations.
  • If someone else from this team is going to get cut this season, Jimmer Freddette is the lead candidate. Gal Mekel came into this game, and already played better than any 5 minute stretch than Jimmer has all season.
