Home Anderson or road Anderson, which is the real player?

Charles: I think home Ryno is the guy we will see going forward. His home numbers were way closer to his career averages and his road numbers were absolutely abysmal. He shot 27% from three on the road and it’s just really hard to imagine him shooting that bad again. He has never shot that bad in his career and I don’t envision that poor shooting carrying over. You can attribute his lack of shot making to a number of things, mainly all of them relating to his offseason recovery. Going into the offseason healthy, I think it’s far more likely we see home Ryno next season than road Ryno.

Joe: Hopefully home, but I expect something in the middle, maybe a little bit more towards the road Anderson. He struggled quite a bit this season, and it is a big deal going forward if his road play continues. He adds an element to this team that makes this offense completely unguardable if he is clicking, like Game 3 of the Warriors series before the collapse. We need him to be on his game.

Rick: I gotta say a little bit of both. Look, Ryan Anderson’s game is completely dependent on when his shot is going in or not. The other real portion of his game that’s developed more this year is his work on the offensive glass, which seemed to average out where he played. The big key for Anderson is to find other ways to get involved in the offense, which doesn’t really vary as much as his shooting percentage from road to home games. The guess here is next season if Anderson can stay healthy throughout the year, we’ll see more games like he had at home this season, but the average for the whole season should average out from this years vast difference from road games to home game.

Matt: I think home Anderson is closer player to real Anderson but I can say I am a bit worried we won’t see that guy consistently anymore. The hope is that the road struggles were tied into the recovery from the neck injury and that another year removed things like travel won’t bother him as much. Road Anderson was consistently short on shots so the hope is that changes as he gets stronger.
