How far down the list of Summer League Pelicans you would have extended a camp invite to was Bryce Dejean-Jones?

Nathan (@NathanHeck22): I thought he played at a decent level, and he adds depth on the wing, which is what this team really needs. I thought Seth Curry played extremely well, but the team didn’t need another guy who would play point or shooting guard as much as a guy who could play shooting guard and small forward.

Rick (@RickStoneNBA): Pretty darn low to be honest. Other than scoring Dejean-Jones doesn’t bring much more to the table at an NBA level. Khem Birch, Seth Curry, Larry Drew and Fuquan Edwin were all way ahead of Dejean-Jones on the players that could have made a difference on this team.

Austin (@apete1993): I liked Bryce Dejean-Jones a lot more the year before he transferred to Iowa State. He had some off the court issues during his one graduate transfer year there, meaning that he could be a potential locker room cancer. I don’t think anybody expects him to make the team, so this all could just be irrelevant.

Matt (@Matt_Cianfrone): Like Rick, he was pretty low on my list. I did think that Dejean-Jones did some things well during his stint in Vegas, especially shooting but it just wasn’t enough to make me think NBA player. I was higher on guys like Edwin, Birch and Drew but the Pelicans wanted wing depth and Edwin was arrested for soliciting a prostitute shortly after Summer League ended so Dejean-Jones made sense in that regard.
