How worried are you about Jrue’s health going forward?

Austin (@apete1993): At this point, it is a major cause for concern. The guy has been through a lot in his two seasons in New Orleans, and it always seems as if he has something bothering him and hindering him from being 100%. We know that when he is 100% he is one of the better point guards in the NBA, someone who was worthy of an All-Star nomination his last year in Philadelphia. He is a key part of the Pelicans team and their success this year is going to tie a lot to the health of Holiday.

Nathan (@nathanheck22): To say that I’m worried would be the understatement of the century. We have absolutely no proof, at this point, that Jrue Holiday will ever be able to be counted on by the New Orleans Pelicans. Jrue has played a grand total of 77 games for the Pelicans, including the playoffs, over two seasons. I know that injuries are out of the athlete’s control the vast majority of the time, but that has to improve dramatically if the Pelicans want to make a serious run anytime soon. Dell Demps shipped off the team’s future for the All-Star, and if Jrue Holiday never makes it back to form, Demps may have shipped off the chance to put a team around Anthony Davis.

Rick (@RickStoneNBA): Very. Jrue hasn’t played half a regular season in two years. Injuries are starting to become a reoccurring theme here. And it’s not like getting back into a nearly full schedule games is easy after sitting out that long two years prior. He still has nagging issues that have some worried he may be limited once the season begins. He’s one of the most electrifying point guards in the league when healthy. But him not being healthy takes so much away from his game. It’s a huge worry.

Matt (@Matt_Cianfrone): Very. I know that people have said the stress reactions don’t necessarily mean there will be more injuries in the future but Jrue has had the same injury for three straight years. Until he gets through a full season healthy, I won’t feel like we can count on him.
