The New Orleans Pelicans roared back from an early deficit to crush the Timberwolves in the second half to secure the win.

The New Orleans Pelicans changed the narrative against the Timberwolves. Instead of rolling over after such a poor first half, the Pelicans came out of the locker room  swinging. Going on a tear in the third quarter, the Pelicans outscored the Wolves by 16 to erase the lead of Minnesota. The Pelicans did not let up in the fourth, and they outscored the Wolves by eight in the final frame.

Unfortunately, Eric Gordon left the game with pain in his finger, and Alvin Gentry confirmed after the game that Gordon had fractured his ring finger. The coach could provide no timeline at the time, but it will be an interesting situation to monitor going forward. The Pelicans will likely utilize Toney Douglas more to fill some of those minutes.
