The Pelicans looked to continue their winning ways at home against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks were on the second night of a back to back while the Pelicans were on a days rest however the Pelicans would be without starting forward Dante Cunningham who was out with an illness. The game started off ugly for the Pelicans as they missed a number of easy opportunities, but every run would be answered and the Pelicans were able to hang around for the first half. Once the second half begun it was more of the same until about 3 minutes left in the third when the Pelicans were able to spark a quick 10-0 run led by Alonzo Gee and Anthony Davis. Hot shooting carried over into the 4th where the Pelicans pulled ahead and on their way to a 5th win in 6 games. Here are the player grades from tonights matchup.
Other Observations:
The Pelicans had seven players score in double figures, and knocked down 17 three pointers largely do to great ball movement. The New Orleans Pelicans have looked like the team we all thought they could be as of late and have climbed back into the playoff hunt. This was unthinkable after watching them lose on the road to the Lakers but since then they have won 5 of their last 6 and playing their best basketball when they needed it the most. Whether they make the playoffs or not, it has been refreshing to watch good basketball again in New Orleans.
