The New Orleans Pelicans looked to snap there 3 game losing streak against their former namesake Utah Jazz. In the first quarter of the game the Pelicans fed Anthony Davis early and often. Guards were making a concerted effort to get AD looks after he took 12 shots the game prior Unfortunately feeding AD did not translate into offensive success he missed a ton of open looks and ended the half shooting 3-17. Despite the woeful shooting from Anthony Davis the Pelicans only trailed by 6. The second half started with AD getting back on track as he would score 12 points in the third including a game tying 3 pointer at 70. Unfortunately that would be the closest the Pelicans would get, as the Jazz answered the bell with a 14-0 run to close out the quarter. The Pelicans would not get any closer than 9 in the 4th but to their credit they didn’t quit. Overall this was a very poor performance as the effort stalled at times forcing the Pelicans to constantly play catchup.
