If it were not for one player imminent retirement, this New Orleans Pelicans and Los Angeles Lakers game would not be more than two terrible teams trying to out tank the other.

The New Orleans Pelicans sold a game out, a rare occurence, thanks to the retirement of a Mr. Kobe Bean Bryant. The sellout crowd however could care less about the two teams playing offering nothing but modest cheers for anyone not named Kobe Bryant. Those modest cheers, turned into thunderous roars whenever Kobe touched the ball. He started off the game scoring 14 points shooting 5-11 from the field. However for the Lakers that would be as good as it gets as the Pelicans makeshift players would take advantage of the Lakers porous defense. Alexis Ajinca played his finest game of the season, dominating the Lakers on the glass and from the field.
