Question 1: Who is the MVP of the season?

Brendon Kleen (@BrendonKleen14): Jrue Holiday. I so badly wanted to say Dante Cunningham here to salute his consistency and legitimate improvement, but come on. There’s no debate here, right? Jrue nuked whatever modest expectations we had of him entering the season. The man posted a 21-7-3 line with a near-30 usage rate and a 54.3% true shooting mark. Sign me up for the remainder of AD’s twenties.. He was also able to stay around a 30 MPG average for the season after being brought along carefully in the first half, and that has to be a victory for the team’s long term prospects with him at the helm.

Rick Stone (@RickStoneNBA): Anthony Davis. Even if the injuries keep him off the All-NBA team, his numbers continue to reach peaks none of us expected when he was drafted on the team. 24 PPG and 10 RPG along with two blocks per on a New Orleans team that asked a ton from him every night still is a massive feat. And with his three-point game showing improvements as the season progressed, the sky continues to be the limit for this youngster. It’s up to the franchise to help put the pieces around him going forward once again.

Nathan Heck (@NathanHeck22): I really wanted to make a cute selection, but it just doesn’t really make any sense to pick any player besides Anthony Davis. Sure, the big man took a “step back” this season, but he still was one of the best players in the NBA. His efficiency dipped due to playing further from the basket and being surrounded by a bunch of fringe NBA players, yet he was still able to post a 25.0 player efficiency rating and a 55.9 percent true shooting mark. Not exactly shabby. Oh, and how can we not mention his 59 point and 20 rebound game? That was one of the most incredible individual performances I’ve ever seen. Anthony Davis was definitely MVP. All day, everyday.
