With the New Orleans Pelicans’ schedule finally released, five matchups stand out the most for the young roster looking to prove itself anew.

It’s time to get excited about the New Orleans Pelicans upcoming season!

With the schedule released just two days ago, New Orleans fans now know the entire 82-game schedule for the young Pelicans. The Pels will have some early challenges, along with challenges throughout the eight month campaign.

With a long stretch ahead for the new team, there are some intriguing battles in the upcoming season. From old foes renewed, old allies coming to battle their old team or new players visiting their past homes, New Orleans has intrigue written all over it.

Head Coach Alvin Gentry will have a tough task in getting his fresh roster, alongside superstar Anthony Davis, to play up to the tough level of NBA competition.

In particular, five games stand out the most among the Pelicans’ full throttle schedule. They pit New Orleans against some of the best, newest and nostalgic teams to the Bayou fan base. How will they fare?
