Anthony Davis stole the show in Philadelphia to help the New Orleans Pelicans dominate in a road victory against the 76ers.

The New Orleans Pelicans were clicking on all cylinders tonight.

In a convincing manner, the Pelicans used a 42-point second quarter to blow past the Sixers and come out on top 108-93.

After building a 13-point lead heading into halftime, New Orleans’ got the lead up to 18 points by the early segments of the fourth quarter.

Anthony Davis led the Pelicans in points and rebounds with 31 and 16 respectively. Terrence Jones also closed the night out with a double-double, finishing with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

It was only the third win in eleven games for the Pelicans. Hopefully, New Orleans will be able to build up some momentum, to achieve more success in the near future.

Final. 93. 93. 108. 69

B. Jrue Holiday has not been the most efficient scorer lately, but his contributions in the assist column are key to the Pelicans getting on the right track. His nine assists tonight were a team-high and his minutes have been steady as of late. A sub par night from the field was the only issue with his game.. PG. . JRUE HOLIDAY

C+. Buddy Hield was profiled as a scorer before getting drafted, so his lack of contributions in other areas is expected. It would be nice to give a higher grade, but he brings nothing to the table but scoring at this moment. While he did make both of his attempts from long range, he only had one rebound and one assist tonight in 21 minutes of action. If Alvin Gentry decides to play him more minutes, we may see more growth in other areas.. SG. . BUDDY HIELD

B+. 15 points in 18 minutes! E’Twaun Moore was automatic tonight in little time. He made his presence felt on the offensive end and excelled from long range as well. While Moore can be a streaky player, he was on fire tonight. Big key to the victory.. SG/PG. . E'TWAUN MOORE

A. The Brow never ceases to amaze. Although he shot 12-30 from the field tonight, he still managed to score 31 points and grab 16 rebounds. Tack on his two blocks and 7-10 finish from the free throw line and you have another exceptional stat line for Davis.. PF/C. . ANTHONY DAVIS

Alexis Ajinca is not a household name, so fans do not expect much from him on game night. His stat line for tonight was not impressive at all, but he did hit the boards hard. His seven rebounds make up for his scoreless night. The main negative from tonight was his playing time. 12 minutes are nowhere near starter quality and this may be a sign that Terrence Jones will get more run at the 4, while sliding Davis over to the 5.. C. . ALEXIS AJINCA. C-

B. Tim Frazier finished the night with a well-rounded line of 10 points, six assists, and four rebounds. He also had an efficient shooting night of 4-7 from the field, while making both of his long-range attempts. His five turnovers hurt, but he will continue to get chances, as long as the Pelicans remain cautious with Tyreke Evans.. PG. . TIM FRAZIER

D. Well, there once again is nothing to see here. Solomon Hill finished the night with two points and three rebounds in 33 minutes. Not great contributions to the team.. SF/PF. . SOLOMON HILL

SF/PF. . DANTE CUNNINGHAM. B+. Dante Cuninngham’s play tonight was exceptional. He finished the night with nine points and five rebounds in 19 minutes of action and his long-range shooting was great (3-4 from deep). His stats may not look this well next time out, but he has shown that he can be a consistent quality role player.

PF. . TERRENCE JONES. A. Terrence Jones capped off tonight with a double-double, finishing with 17 points and 10 rebounds. His playing time has increased some and playing consistent minutes will do wonders for his output on the court. It is evident that he is the second best big on the roster and he deserves more minutes in the front court with AD.

D. Omer Asik is an afterthought these days in New Orleans. He will always have a chance at producing on the boards, evidenced by his six boards tonight in 16 minutes. He just does not do anything else very well, especially score the basketball.. C. . OMER ASIK

INC. Tyreke Evans got the night off for rest. It seems the New Orleans Pelicans are playing it safe with his recover on the court.. PG/SG/SF. . TYREKE EVANS

INC. Williams made no significant impact tonight. A stat line of one point, one rebound and one assist is not impressive at all. Considering that he only played 12 minutes, its tough to grade him in a blowout loss.. SF. . REGGIE WILLIAMS

Other Observations:

  • Both Langston Galloway and Cheick Diallo were healthy DNP’s in tonight’s game.
  • Although this win came against the 76ers, another struggling team, it was a much needed win. The Pelicans can use tonight’s win as motivation to try and get a winning streak going.
