Saturday night in New Orleans is the center stage for three different competitions, featuring the NBA’s best. That includes the Taco Bell Skills Challenge and NBA All-Star Game Practice, where Pelicans’ star Anthony Davis will participate.

After that, the NBA D-League All-Star Game will be on NBA TV as well. The youngest stars of the Developmental League will take center stage and show their best. The game last year featured a combined 252 points from both teams. Tip-off is set for 1:30 p.m. CST.
The festivities for the night session begin on TNT at 7:00 p.m. CST with the Skills Challenge, where Anthony Davis will get his chance to shine.
Davis did participate last year in this same challenge, that pits “Bigs vs Smalls” in a skill based challenge. Anthony did not win the challenge last year, yet his hometown faithful might give him the backup to be the champ this time around. The Skills Contest will kick off the three events, starting at 7:00 p.m. CST.
The night will also feature the JBL Three-Point Contest and Verizon Slam Dunk Contest. The three-point contest will feature former New Orleans’ Pelican Eric Gordon. Gordon will compete alongside the best shooters in the league for the title. He did not compete in the competition during his tenure in New Orleans.
In the Slam Dunk Contest, the star of the show will be Aaron Gordon, who put on a show against Zach LaVine last year. Fans will be hopeful for a near repeat of that performance, which featured a streak of six straight dunks scoring 50’s. He will have hefty competition, however, with youngsters Glen Robinson III, Derrick Jones Jr. and star Clippers Center DeAndre Jordan battling him for the title.
