In the past five games, Jordan Crawford has stolen the hearts of the city of New Orleans’ faithful.  After signing the man Boogie dubs “Instant Grits,” we delve into five facts you may or may not know about Shooting Guard, Jordan Crawford.

On March 6th, 2017, the heavens and lords of basketball brought the city of New Orleans a gift by the name of Jordan Crawford.

The Grand Rapids throwaway was everything the city was and has been. Celebrated when called upon, but a largely forgotten relic.  At 28 years of age, many including Crawford himself believed his window to be closing.  But in five short games on New Orleans, his play earns himself a contract and a new home.

The 6’5″ 195 pound “irrational confidence guy” has given the Pelicans more than 14.2 ppg. Those points come on 51 percent shooting and 52 percent from behind the arc.  He supplies something even greater than his underarm cross court passes and sweet alley oop dishes.

He has gifted the city buzz, thrills, emotion, passion and at times even intoxication (something familiar with New Orleanians).  New Orleans is a city that absurdly falls in love with the Beermans, the Ironheads, the Tyrone Hughes’ and the everyday man who basks in the sun.

Jordan Crawford is exactly that for the 2017 New Orleans Pelicans. He’s a light in an otherwise dark season.  Today, we celebrate Jordan Crawford by learning five facts about the former Hoosier, I mean Musketeer.
