Jordan Crawford attended both Indiana and Xavier
In 2007, Jordan Crawford signed a letter of intent to play for the Hoosiers of Indiana. It was a celebrated scholarship, as Crawford injured his ankle in his senior year at Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham Virginia. Crawford was sort of a troubled student. The Detroit native had trouble staying on the floor in his hometown. due to academic ineligibility. He was sent to Chatham, to earn the grades needed to participate. Unfortunately, fate stepped in the way and ruined what could have been a celebrated high school career.

Crawford started eight games as a freshman at Indiana and put up a respectable ten points per game. He scored in double figures 15 times, on the way to advancing his squad to the NCAA tournament. The freshman shot 44 percent from the field, including 37 percent from three and averaged 25 minutes per contest.
However, his career at Indiana would come to an unexpected end, due to allegations against the former coach of the Oklahoma Sooners, Kelvin Sampson. Sampson was forced to resign, due to charges of tampering. That tampering mainly involving Indiana star and former Illinois verbal commit Eric Gordon. While evidence was never released to the public, the claims were enough to end Sampson’s career and send Crawford to the University of Xavier in Cincinnati, Ohio.
