Alexis Ajinca – 2k17 – 73

Projected  2k18 – 71

An old school big man. Ajinca can be effective on the right day, while playing in the post and rebounding, but he is slow and not very athletic. He is the antithesis of what the small ball and fast paced NBA is about.

Last year saw Ajinca only play in 39 games, and while he actually averaged more minutes than he did in 2015-16, he was less productive with both fewer rebounds and points.

Unfortunately, with all of the above, this does not make him overly desirable in the way the game is now being played and this is reflected in his rating.

Omer Asik – 2k17 – 75

Projected 2k18 – 71

Another old school big man with very similar qualities to Ajinca. Asik was ranked as the Pels’ 5th best player when NBA 2k17 was released. Asik spent a lot of time on the sidelines last year, playing only 31 games.

Everything has been going downhill for Asik, including minutes, points, and rebounds. Asik is probably the least desirable player in the NBA right now, due to his large contract, and playing style, which does not fit into many systems.

As a result, I think his rating will take a big hit in NBA 2k18.
