4. Rajon Rondo makes E’Twaun Moore a better three-point shooter.

Though Rondo may not necessarily affect the three-point shooting of the Pelicans in general, he may be having a positive effect on the three-point shooting of E’Twaun Moore.

Before Rondo, E’Twaun Moore was shooting 37.2% from three. Since Rondo, Moore has shot 53.2% from three.

Furthermore, with Rondo on the court, Moore has shot 58% from three, but off of the court during the time of Rondo’s return, Moore has shot 41.4. And off Rondo passing, Moore has hit 59.1% of his threes, compared to 50.9% when not passed by Rondo.

A number that could be used to credit Rondo, is Moore’s catch-and-shoot three-point percentage, which has increased from 37.8% before Rondo’s return, to 50.7% after. Perhaps Rondo has been hitting Moore in good spots for Moore to hit the trigger.

E’Twaun Moore’s three-point shooting is due for a decline, as I doubt he will be shooting over 50% from three for the rest of the season, but expect his three-point percentage to stay in the 40s, partially thanks to Rondo’s terrific passing.
