To quote Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin, “its been a long time, been a long time, been a long, lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely time.” And it really has been! Its been almost two months since the end of the Pelicans second term, and boy has a lot happened. They started the term six and one. DeMarcus Cousins goes down with a season ending achilles tear. They proceed to almost inverse their hot start, going one and five. They get Nikola Mirotic and Emeka Okafor, among others, completely revamping their team, and have now won eight straight.

What!?!?!

To quote Plant once more, this term has made me completely “dazed and confused.”

But, have no fear, for report cards are here to fill you in on the Pelicans third term.

My report cards use the letter grading system, and instead of marking on overall performance, I will be grading on performance based on preseason and season expectation. B- will be the grade of expectation, meaning that if a player earns a B-, he is playing to his expectation, no better or worse.

The statistics are from January14th to February 28th, as that is when the Pelicans played the third quarter of their total games. Here are my first and second termers if you want to play catchup.

And without further ado, let’s get started.
