Ian Clark: B+

NEW ORLEANS, LA – APRIL 11: Ian Clark
NEW ORLEANS, LA – APRIL 11: Ian Clark /

Fortunately for him, Ian Clark has ended the season on what is easily his best term. He has put up a respectable 11.1 points per game on 47.8% from the field and 35.8% from three and 55.3% true shooting, providing the team with much needed bench scoring. And despite the Pelicans technically playing better with him off of the floor, when paired next to Davis and Holiday, he has proved to be positive, not negative.

However, Clark’s ‘B+’ is still not at all due to consistency, as most of it comes from his ‘A’ six game stretch in mid-March where he averaged 14.3 points per game on 60.7% from the field, 46.2% from three and 66.6% true shooting. His final term has still been filled with many Clark-isms, often swallowing the ball and tossing up contested shots, at points where teammates could get better shots. But nevertheless, if the Pelicans can get this Clark in the playoffs, it would be a great help.
