Rajon Rondo: A-

HOUSTON, TX – DECEMBER 11: James Harden
HOUSTON, TX – DECEMBER 11: James Harden /

I don’t know what’s gotten into Rajon Rondo lately. Perhaps he’s discovered the fountain of youth. Or maybe he’s a time traveller. What if he just hasn’t been trying all year in anticipation for the playoffs. But whatever it is, there is no doubt that Rondo has been incredibly effective this term. Rondo’s been averaging 12.3/5.8/12.1 per 36 minutes this term, and the Pels offense has improved by 2.7 points per 100 possessions this term.

He’s slinging passes more effectively than ever before, and his pickpocketing-style of defence has proved less risky, as he has averaged 1.6 steals per game in the last term. Hopefully this carries over into the playoffs, and Rondo continues his playoff hot streak from last season in his two games with the Chicago Bulls.
