Last week, we put out an article discussing the possibility of the Pelicans pursuing Danny Green in free-agency. This opinion still holds true!

New Orleans is not a perfect unit. They have many weaknesses associated with their roster, especially at the wing position. The teams lack of size, shooting range and defensive stability at said position is an area the front office should look to improve through free agency. Danny Green very well could be that improvement.

The 6-6 Green is one of the best 3-and-D specialists in the game today. In regards to offense, the swingman holds impressive averages of 42% shooting from the field and 40% shooting from downtown for his career. Also, defensively, Green has proven to be quite a pest over the years, as he’s big enough to matchup against the likes of small-ball four’s and athletic enough to stay with guards. His efforts defensively have not gone unnoticed by the league, as he received All-Defensive team honors last season (2017).

With all the aforementioned attributes Green possesses, along with his championship pedigree (2014 NBA Championship with San Antonio), he is an intriguing option for NOLA to consider this free-agency period.
