Kevin Huerter
19-years-old
Maryland
Shooting Guard
6’7” 190 lbs
14.8 ppg 3.4 APG 41.7% 3FG
While not listed on many draft boards to begin this process, Huerter had a solid combine. Huerter played 25 impressive minutes the first day. He showed poise and touch on his shot, leading his team in scoring and generally passed the ball well in a setting not known for rhythmic passing.
Kevin Huerter finished with 14 points (5-11 FGs, 3-8 from three), three rebounds, one assist and one turnover in his team's 70-63 loss. Easily one of the game's biggest standouts. Certainly helped himself.

Huerter could help the Pelicans guard and wing rotation, especially if the Pelicans trade or renounce some likely suspects.
In the combine measurements Huerter ran the fastest shuttle run on Thursday, ranked 4th in the three-quarter-court sprint, and touched 38 inches on his vertical. His was perfect from the mid range right side spot and 80% from NBA range on the right side. Huerter proved in the 5v5 session that he could shoot against actual defenders.
No doubt. Excellent showing for Kevin Huerter so far today—he's arguably the best off-balance 3-point shooter in the draft. Clean shooting stroke with deep range, and impressive passing vision for his position. He's a potential riser. https://t.co/f4M6DnEnQA

It is still doubtful if Huerter will remain in the draft. There are reports that he wants to be a lottery pick and loves the college life.
In addition to showing nice versatility in the 5 on 5, Huerter is also testing really well athletically. Has the best 3/4 court sprint time (2.96). Hearing he loves school, and a 1st round promise may not suffice to stay in. May return to try and be a lottery pick next year. https://t.co/t2Mb5e9fFi
