In the recent months, reports have surfaced of multiple teams inquiring about the availability of New Orleans Pelicans Superstar Anthony Davis. Though it would cost a fortune and then some for NOLA to part ways with their franchise player, nothing can be written off as impossible. After all, the leagues coined catchphrase is “NBA: Where Amazing Happens.”
So, a few NBA teams are rumored to be interested in trading for Anthony Davis. What else is new? He’s one of the best talents the league has to offer, at a position so few organizations possess a quality player, let alone a star. The calls may soon be coming to Dell Demps and NOLA’s front office. However, should they pick-up?
Is this me insinuating the Pelicans should seriously consider trading away Anthony Davis? Of course not! However, minus the exception of LeBron James, there is a price tag on everyone. Though we here at Pelican Debrief hope to see AD finish out his career in the land of Po Boys, we must seriously consider the question; how much would it take for New Orleans to pull the trigger on a trade?
In the following slides we will discuss realistic trade packages for Anthony Davis and whether or not New Orleans should consider them.
